Bad year for conferences!

The last year or so wreaked havoc on at least MY writing conference appearances. Got selected for DFWCon in June of 2020 and then it got cancelled due to COVID pretty well in advance.

But was selected to moderate a panel on writer's block and to appear on a panel moderated by Craig Johnson of Longmire fame on Crime in the Wide Open Spaces for Bouchercon (in New Orleans, dang it!) in August of 2021. COVID situation was looking better, so a pretty good compensation for not getting to do DFWCon, right?

Well, it was, up until two weeks before Bouchercon, when New Orleans had its COVID spike and cancelled THAT convention! So two years of exciting conference appearances bit the dust.

Needless to say, I was disappointed, to say the least. Especially since my new chapbook, The Short Go, came out in April of 2020. DFWCon in June would have been a perfect venue to introduce it. But good news to come...
